How AI appears in LanguaLit
LanguaLit uses AI deliberately: to support private reading routes and to assist an accountable editorial process. It does not use AI to quietly substitute for sources, teachers, or reader choice.
LanguaLit uses AI in two distinct ways: a curated starter shelf provides pre-built reading routes, while the Story Concierge helps make original private routes only after a reader asks. It is not a feed of arbitrary text. Public AI-assisted stories must be marked plainly.
A private request never becomes a public title by itself. Any future shared AI-assisted story begins from a separate editorial brief and is held for language, learning, narrative, cultural, safety, and rights review. Review records identify the review type and outcome.
A reader may request a private story route for a workplace situation, wedding, trip, or preferred genre. That brief is stored only in the reader’s account and is not linked to, promoted into, or published through the shared library. Readers should not add sensitive personal information.
My text accepts a reader-owned, licensed, or permissioned PDF or DOCX for private study only. The reader selects the passage that may be used to create original cue cards and a recall prompt. The source file, selected passage, and companion remain account-scoped, are never used to train or expand the public catalog, and cannot be promoted into it automatically.
A biography route is not a fictional narrative. It is source-led and must have factual review and citations before publication. The service does not invent a real person’s life or present generated scenes as history.
AI tools are optional. The core reading experience remains usable without a private route or chatbot. The site should always disclose when a response or story is AI-assisted and allow readers to choose how they use those features.
