Read extensively
Graded reader practice is designed to keep syntax and vocabulary accessible across increasing levels. LanguaLit uses story momentum and optional scaffolding to support that kind of sustained reading.
The LanguaLit approach
LanguaLit is built around sustained reading, useful context, self-selected support, and gentle return—not the promise that an app can make anyone fluent overnight.
A short visual introduction
The film shows the rhythm: read a page in the language that carries the story, notice one phrase in the language you are meeting, then keep only what you want to revisit.
An open story page receives one highlighted target-language phrase. The phrase becomes a small cue card, then returns to the page while a quiet constellation of remembered words forms beside the book.
Graded reader practice is designed to keep syntax and vocabulary accessible across increasing levels. LanguaLit uses story momentum and optional scaffolding to support that kind of sustained reading.
Words are more useful when a reader can see what they are doing in a scene. Notes are optional and tied to the exact sentence, not a detached list.
Saved language can reappear in private Word Constellations, optional recall prompts, and study cards. Harder cards return sooner. Flashcards are included in every plan. No punishing streaks. No implied failure for taking a break.
A reader’s interests—mystery, work, travel, a wedding, a biography, or a permitted personal document—provide a reason to meet the same language in meaningful situations.
Evidence boundaries
Research cited by the Extensive Reading Foundation associates extensive reading with gains in reading skills, comprehension, rate, and vocabulary. Research syntheses also describe spacing and retrieval practice as potentially valuable learning strategies. These are design directions, not individualized guarantees.[1] [2]
LanguaLit does not diagnose proficiency, replace instruction, or promise fluency. A reader can set their own support level, revisit words, and choose a story route that makes practice easier to sustain.
