What the service uses

When you sign in, the service receives the account identity needed to maintain your reader account. If you answer “How did you hear about us?” while creating an account, that answer is stored on your reader record. If you submit an email to the newsletter list, that address is stored for those updates and is not sold. The service may also retain your saved words, reading progress, private route briefs, membership-hold email, and AI-generated route previews so that you can continue where you left off.

Private story briefs

A request about a workplace event, wedding, travel plan, or other personal context is stored as a private brief tied to your account. Do not include information you do not want processed. Private routes are not added to the shared public library.

Payments

Payment details are handled by Stripe, not stored in LanguaLit’s application database. The application retains only necessary Stripe reference identifiers for account access. Live checkout is offered only after Stripe live mode is connected; until then, a membership hold stores your email so Member access can attach later. Billing questions: support@langualit.com.

Cookies and similar technology

LanguaLit uses cookies and similar storage so the site can function. A signed-in session cookie keeps you on the same reader account. A short-lived state cookie is used only if you start an optional Google sign-in. Stripe may set cookies on its hosted checkout pages when you pay. Public pages may set advertising cookies as described below. Essential cookies are needed to sign in, keep a session, and complete checkout. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; some account features will then stop working until you sign in again.

Advertising cookies

LanguaLit shows Google AdSense advertisements on its public pages, such as the homepage, library, free reading samples, method, journal (/blog), and answers. Sign-in, account, pricing, checkout and payment, admin, legal, and signed-in study and creation tools do not load the AdSense tag. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to this site or other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on those visits. The authorized publisher ID is pub-1051825252184436 (AdSense client ca-pub-1051825252184436), listed in ads.txt as a DIRECT Google seller. Users may opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads) or at https://www.aboutads.info. European visitors can also visit https://www.youronlinechoices.eu.

Your choices

Notifications are off by default. You may choose whether to enable them and can stop them without losing reading access. Email support@langualit.com to request account or private-brief deletion. We do not sell reading progress, saved words, or private briefs.

Governing law

California law governs the LanguaLit terms of use and privacy policy. The state and federal courts located in California are the venue for any dispute, and any arbitration is held in California. Taciturn Studios LLC is a California limited liability company.
